Wolf Spiders are typically more of a "hunting" spider rather than a "trapping" spider. They mostly live alone in solitude. They are opportunistic hunters, usually chasing their prey short distances or waiting for passing prey in or near the mouth of a burrow. Wolf Spiders have excellent eyesight compared to other arachnids. Third best eyesight only beat by jumping spiders and huntsman spiders. They are very unique in the way they carry their eggs. The egg sac is attached to the spinnerets at the end of the abdomen, allowing the spider to carry her unhatched young with her. After hatching, the young will climb onto the dorsal side of the abdomen for several weeks until they are large enough to fend for themselves.
