Silverfish are among the few types of insects that continue to molt after reaching adulthood. Their food sources can be (but not limited to) paper items, glue, clothing, flour, rolled oats, sugar, pet food, coffee, and pasta. They have been know to be cannibalistic as well as consuming high protein meals like dried beef or dead animal carcasses.
